Bachelor of Business Administration

The Department of Business and Computer Science offers students professional education in business that will facilitate their personal development for careers as a Certified Public Accountant, as well as in business, government, non-profit organizations, teaching, or graduate level study in business. The primary strength of the school's programs is excellence in teaching and individual attention given to students.

The Department's programs are designed to reflect the environment of the many small and medium-sized businesses found in the region. At the same time, large organizations and the significance of today's international trade environment are recognized.

What Can I Do With This Degree?

Accounting

Students can begin careers in public and/or private accounting.

Agricultural Business

Students can begin careers in Corporate, Governmental, and Entrepreneurial Agricultural positions.  Examples may include, but are not limited to, careers in Agricultural Business Ownership, Production and Sales Manager, Loan Officer, Association Specialist, or Governmental Liaison, etc.

Entrepreneurship

You can learn general business concepts to aid you in starting and running your own business. Additional career options include: careers in management, business consulting, sales, research and development, non-profit fundraising, teaching, recruiting and business reporting.

Finance

A B.B.A. Finance degree from SWOSU will equip you to begin your career in jobs such as financial planner, financial analyst, investor relations associate, budget analyst actuary, accountant and credit analyst.

Management

Students can begin careers in Corporate, Governmental or Non Profit Management. Examples may include, but are not limited to, careers in Strategic Operations, Project Manager, Human Resources, Management Analysis, Research and Development, Management Consultant, Compliance, or Facility Management, etc.

Marketing

Students can begin careers in Corporate, Governmental or Non Profit Marketing. Examples may include, but are not limited to, Social Media Management, New Product Development, Customer Service, Price Analysis, Supply Chain Logistics, Sales Management or Promotions Marketing, etc.
