Canvas Login Instructions

To access Canvas, please log in via Single Sign On.

Please note that Canvas works best in Firefox and Chrome, and does not support Internet Explorer.

You can find browser requirements, and much more information by accessing the Canvas Help Center. To access the Help Center, click the Help icon found on your Canvas dashboard.

Tips

  • On mobile devices you will not see the SWOSU specific logo and instructions.
  • Not all instructors use Canvas. If you are a student and do not see your courses listed, please check with your instructor to make sure they are using Canvas.
  • What is the Canvas Dashboard: This explains the dashboard navigation layout in Canvas.
  • The Global Navigation Menu: This explains the navigation menu, also known as the Global Navigation Menu. The Global Navigation Menu is located on the left side of every page in Canvas. Global Navigation links provide quick access to frequently used Canvas features. These links provide access to all your courses collectively. Default links include the Dashboard, Courses, Groups, Calendar, Inbox, User Account and the Help menu.
