Intramural Activities
Intramural sports are recreational sport leagues organized for students on a college campus. We do allow staff and faculty participate! (Certain guidelines required for them.) As a favorite campus activity among SWOSU students, the intramural sports offered on SWOSU’s campus in the Fall are Flag Football, Co-Ed Softball, and Pickleball. In the Spring we will offer Basketball, Co-Ed Volleyball, and Powerlifting. (Any sport not listed as 'Co-Ed' has no restrictions on the number of Male/Female team members.) Other sports can be added given there is enough interest and referee availability at the time.
All Intramural registrations will be managed in person in the Wellness Center. There is not an online/email option available. Please watch for postings inside the Wellness Center, campus bulletins, student/employee emails and online on our facebook page or our instagram page.

Southwestern Oklahoma State University Intramural Sports
- All team captains and members MUST read the Intramural Sports Handbook on the Wellness Center website. Captains will receive a copy of the handbook and of the sport specific rules at the MANDATORY captain’s meeting prior to the sport beginning and are responsible for team members readings.
- All student participants MUST BE ENROLLED IN THE CURRENT SEMESTER to be eligible to play in the intramural sport.
- All employee participants must be currently employed and remain employed throughout the duration of the intramural sport.
- The team rosters WILL BE FINALIZED by the MANDATORY captain’s meeting prior to starting league and the roster cannot be changed once game play begins.
- All team members MUST bring your student IDs to ALL intramural games.
- We wish to create a fun, friendly, and competitive environment for all participants and refs alike. Player conduct will be monitored closely. Any player found to be displaying rude, disrespectful, or otherwise foul behavior WILL be subject to banishment from participation in any intramurals at SWOSU.
- Intramural activities are subject to cancellation due to poor weather and/or field conditions. The Wellness Center Manager will notify all CAPTAINS to let them know of the cancellation. Team captains are responsible of notifying team members of the cancellation.
