Assistant to the President &
Director of Institutional Advancement
Garrett T. King currently holds the position of assistant to the president and director of Institutional Advancement at Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU) where he oversees formulation and execution of strategies to solicit, receive, steward and disburse external resources for the benefit of the university and to engage alumni, emeriti and friends of the university in a mutually beneficial relationship.
King has served or is serving on the governing boards of the Oklahoma Educational Television Authority (OETA) and the OETA Foundation, the General Tommy Franks Leadership Institute, the Friends of the Weatherford Public Library, the Weatherford Community Habitat for Humanity, the Weatherford Food and Resources Center, and HOBY Oklahoma.
King and his family are members of the First Baptist Church of Weatherford where he has served as vice-chair of deacons and has taught Sunday School.
Previously, King served on the personal staff of U.S. Representative Frank D. Lucas (OK-3) where his work focused on issues related to education, agriculture, Indian affairs, energy, transportation and the environment.
King was raised on a peanut farm in the Oakdale Community near Eakly in northern Caddo County where his family has lived and worked since 1890. He is a 2004 graduate of Binger-Oney Public Schools and a 2008 alumnus of SWOSU where he studied history and political science. He holds an M. Ed. in Social Sciences and is currently a Ph. D. candidate in history at the University of Swansea in Wales.
King and his wife, Custer County attorney Carissa (Marquis) King reside in Weatherford with their daughters, Nellie and Margie.
Assistant Director of Institutional Advancement
A native of Shattuck, Kari Jones resides in Weatherford with her husband, Willis, and their daughter, Lauren. Jones sits on the Weatherford Rotary Club Board of Directors and is a member of the First Baptist Church of Weatherford. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design and a Master of Business Administration, both from SWOSU.
Associate Director of Institutional Advancement
A native of Pampa, TX, Clarke Hale earned his undergraduate degree at SWOSU in business administration in 2008 and earned a Master of Education in Sports Management in 2010. He and his wife, Kayla, reside in Oklahoma City with their son, Holt.
Jessica Perry is a native of Clinton, OK. She completed undergraduate studies in political science at SWOSU in 2014 and earned a master's degree in sports management from SWOSU in 2016. She and her husband, Lyndon, reside in Weatherford.
Athletic Advancement Coordinator
A native of Eldorado Springs, MO, McQuillan earned a bachelor's degree in early childhood education from Missouri Western State University in 2011. She and her husband, Colin, reside in Weatherford.
Programs Officer & Office Manager
Robbin Jennings is a 1990 graduate of Hobart High School and graduated from Southwestern with a B.S. in psychology in 1995. She and her husband Billy reside in Weatherford and have three children, Bree, Lilly and Jaxson, and a beloved golden retriever, Teddy. Robbin enjoys spending time with her family and friends, scrapbooking, crocheting and attending her children’s many events.
