Training for Employees

State law requires that all SWOSU employees, including student employees, receive safety training at least four times a year.

Public employers, including state agencies, cities, counties and public schools, are mandated by law to provide safe, healthful workplaces.

While we are covered under PEOSH, Public Employee Occupational Safety and Health within the Oklahoma Department of Labor that has the authority to enforce Occupational Safety and Health Laws, PEOSH incorporates all federal OSHA's standards found under 29 CFR 1904, 1910, 1926 and other applicable consensus standards found within general industry.

All employees are expected to complete the four (4) provided trainings.  However, some employees are categorized as being at a higher risk of blood exposures and will be REQUIRED to complete the BBP training provided.
