2020 Commencement

November 20-21 (Postponed from May

Dear Graduate-to-be:

Congratulations! We are pleased that you plan to participate in one of the commencement ceremonies. Please take the time to read this information and be prepared for a great and memorable day.

Special note: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, only two tickets for commencement guests will be given to each graduate. Masks and social distancing will be required for guests and participants. Guests without tickets will not be admitted.  A live stream of each ceremony will be available for those who cannot attend.

The Graduation application deadline is October 16. After that date, students may submit a graduation application and may participate in the appropriate commencement ceremony, but their name will not be printed in the program.

Students may pick up their cap and gown in the Alma Mater Merc bookstore located in Mann Hall.  Regalia will be available during store hours.  Any questions can be directed to Ashley Hancock @ ashley.hancock@swosu.edu.

Commencement participants with disabilities should contact Joshua Engle, Dean of Students (580.774.3767, joshua.engle@swosu.edu) by November 16, if they need special assistance during commencement. There is seating and parking for family members with disabilities, but we advise them to arrive early for the best choice of seats and parking.

All ceremonies will be live web-streamed. A link will be paced here during commencement week to watch the web-streaming.
