In the event of a workplace injury, our priority is to obtain appropriate medical care, if needed. ALL incidents of workplace injury must be reported to the Workers’ Compensation Coordinator as soon as possible. In an emergency, the employee can be seen in the emergency room at Weatherford Regional Hospital. Call 911 if an ambulance is needed. For non-emergency injuries, please contact the Workers’ Compensation Coordinator, 580-774-3108, as soon as possible. The employee can take advantage of the AmCares Nurse Triage Line if the injury is not life, limb or eyesight threatening; be referred to Wellness Xpress-Weatherford or Weatherford Regional Hospital Convenient Care. All employees who suffers a workplace injury should be provided with a copy of the Information for Injured Workers The University may require drug or alcohol testing for post-accident or incident evaluation.
