All students will need to set up their refund preferences in Self-Service. Student refunds will be processed by ECSI instead of BankMobile!

What is a refund?

A refund is any money that Southwestern Oklahoma State University owes you. Common reasons you may receive a refund include:

  • Financial Aid overages
  • Dropped classes
  • Student account overpayments

How are refunds handled at SWOSU?

Southwestern Oklahoma State University has partnered with Heartland ECSI to deliver student refunds electronically. Student refunds are processed by the Bursar's Office on Wednesday and Friday during the semester.

How are refunds delivered?

Student refunds are processed electronically through Heartland ECSI. Follow these simple steps to select an electronic option:

  1. Log into GO SWOSU
  2. Select Self Service, Student Finance
  3. Click Make a Payment to visit the SWOSU Payment Center
  4. Click on Refunds at the top of the page

When are refunds delivered?

Students should receive their refunds within one to two business days, depending on the bank’s policies, of SWOSU processing the refund file.
