Students Enrolled in Modules (Classes that are shorter than a term) Financial Aid Issues

Freshmen Academic Scholarships

Priority will be given to students admitted by March 1st although late admits will be considered through the first day of your freshman year. By completing the admissions application (including high school transcripts and ACT scores), you are essentially applying for all academic awards at SWOSU. There is no longer a separate application required for Freshmen Scholarship Awards. To determine if you qualify for a freshman scholarship use the Net Price Calculator. Additional scholarship information can be found here.

Application for Student Aid

You may get a Federal Student Aid application form from the SWOSU Financial Aid office or you may Apply Online instead of using the paper form. In addition to federal student aid, you may also be eligible for HOPE or Lifetime Learning income tax credit, both of which you claim when you file your taxes.

For more information on these tax credits, the Application for Federal Student Aid, and the U.S. Department of Education's student aid programs, call 800.433.3243 Monday thru Friday between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. Eastern time or look Online. If you are hearing impaired, call TDD 800.730.8913.
